Washing of parquet floors
Another popular floor is parquet. There are a few kinds of parquet floors today and each of them has its advanatges and disadvantages. Parquet floors are made of wood and prone to
swell or pull in when in contact with water or moisture. Bamboo parquet floor is very flexible, easily cut and made of 100% natural material of high-quality and strength; thus, it’s becoming more and more popular type of floors in offices and homes. Maintenance is very easy although attention should be paid to the surface as it has already been lacquered. Wrong choice of cleaning agents can irreversibly destroy parquet as well as fill it with water, that is cause swelling. The price of high-quality cleaning and professional washing of parquet floors is a lot lower than the price of rearranging and sanation of the swollen or ruined parquet. Apart from bamboo parquet in our country „classic“ parquet floors such as oak, ash or beech parquet are often used. These types of parquet most often come without any protection and are lacquered after setting. Their maintenance is more delicate than bamboo ones since the lacquer is less resistant than pre-lacquered bamboo. The advantage in relation to the bamboo parquet is easiness of subsequent grinding and lacquering although it requires great material means. Professional maintenance of parquet floors and regular application of protective agents, provide shine and long life of parqet lacquer. Even in this case professional maintenance of parquet is cheaper than grinding and relacquering. Not to mention dust while grinding and „smell“ in lacquering. Washing and vacuuming of wall-to-wall carpetings
Wall-to-wall-carpetings are most frequently made of nylon as it is extremely compact material, not prone to fray. They are very comfortable and ideal as „warm“ floor over tiles or for „protection“ of parquet as well as a cheap solution instead of tiles and parquet. Wall-to-wall carpetings are very easy to maintain owing to nylon fibres, but still prone to dust and impurity collecting. To put it very simply, unless they are maintained in terms of quality, they will become „ugly“ and will lose their aesthetic effect, and due to this most people opt for this kind od floorcover. In wall-to-wall carpetings it is very important what kind of sub-floor we deal with: stone, parquet or ceramic tiles. As we have already written, wall-to-wall carpetings are easy to maintain but wrong maintenance and agents, apart from the wall-to-wall carpeting and sub-floor, can also be very easily destroyed. After a while the lower part of wall- to-wall carpeting „scatters“ and thus destroys the sub-floor. Unprofessional maintenance of carpeting may ruin the sub-floor since rubber or nylon parts that scatter apart from washing agents may cause a reaction that may lead to rottenness of parquet or destruction of ceramic tiles.
Washing of curtains and windows
Windows are the mirror of each home or office and curtains a shield of privacy. Windows are seen from the outer and from the inner side, that’s why it’s essential to keep them always clean.
